To coincide with this year's Summer Purification Ceremony, a work by Gakyōjin BUNTA iNOUE depicting the chō-no-wa (wicker ring) has been displayed at the shrine office⛩️

The chō-no-wa kuguri is a tradition of the Summer Purification Ceremony, where people pass through the wicker ring to cleanse themselves of sins and impurities. It is said that Susanoo-no-Mikoto gave the chō-no-wa to Sumitomo, saying, “If you wear this on your waist, you will be spared from illness.”☺️⭐️
